Thank-you to all the below...

(This list is constantly being added to. If you feel you, or someone else has not been appropriately credited please forgive me and drop me an email using the form at the bottom of any page and I will endeavour to add you to the list.)

Additionally, I feel I should add that these are in no particular order.

Web

  • https://html5up.net. - The page design and template that everything has been built around and added to came from HTML5 up.
  • Quick Galley (no link as the site appears to have gone and I cant find it with a search of the internet!?) - The photo gallery code all came from QUICK.GALLERY. I started with a CSS version and this was a dramatic improvement. I hope all you agree. I removed the direct link from the bottom of each individual gallery as I felt it interrupted the flow of the article page. Please check out their website and donate to get the code. (extremely good value and so many more option available than used on Grayt Outdoors).
  • https://www.pfaf.org/user/Default.aspx - An amazing site for information on over 7000 plants. All this sites species links go directly to this site. It's a charitable organisation started in Cornwall in 1989. (you can donate on their site if you wish to do so). The information available is immense! They also have several books - details below.
  • https://www.woodlands.co.uk/ - Woodlands.co.uk has a wealth of information on trees. They also sell woods (maybe one day).
  • https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/ - Supported by our 800,000 members, together The Wildlife Trusts care for 2,300 diverse and beautiful nature reserves, from remote woods and rivers to inner city nature parks.
  • https://www.wood-database.com/ - An amazing website full of facts and figures about wood. The 'hardness rating' on all the tree pages is derrived mostly from information from this site. Please check it out to see just how much information there is!
  • All the YouTubers on the links page too!
  • Sphiderhttp://www.sphider.eu/ - Sphider is the brains behind the search function on the site. I have removed their branding and made a donation to them for doing so. A very cool bit of software that makes site searching possible and relitively quick to install. I only changed the css to fit my site and I changed the search input from a table layout to CSS. Everything else is unchanged so thanks a lot to these guys. Check out the link!
  • Online Etymology Dictionaryhttps://www.etymonline.com/ - This is the site I have used for looking up the etymology of a lot of the latin and English names, very informative and I recommend having a look and sticking a few words in yourself!
