Vlog or Blog; today you get blog. I have content for another vlog but I'm realising I need to plan my vlogs better! Structure is required! Which I will sort out for the next one or make a very random mixed one with all the bits in I have and then wipe the slate clean for the one after.

I have moved hosting provider which has meant to I can encrypt the site a whole lot easier; the benefits of which are secure data transfer to and from device to server, and search engines will rank my pages/site higher. It's also becoming the standard and I'm not behind the times! ;-).

The reason to change to a .com domain is future proofing and un-restricting myself from just the UK. I don't recall why I didn't do this initially. A lot of the trees so far on the site are not native to the UK and so this seems a little daft of me. I have pretty much gotten everything migrated in the last couple days and from what I can tell everything is functional. Please update any links to https://www.grayoutdoors.com. (Note the "s" at the end of https) or just rebookmark the page and delete the old one. The old links will still work for a while but I don't know if I will renew the .co.uk domain when it expires next year. As for site content; I have been learning about conifers! (i.e. cone bearing trees and not interchangeable with evergreen; as I always though growing up ;-) ). I have made a flow chart to help ID these which although I am happy with it I'm not ready to publish it yet as it needs a lot more info adding and testing in the real world. Watch this space.

One last thing before running the danger of boring you... MAN MAKE FIRE! I have done it a couple times now all with things I have foraged myself, aside from using paracord for the bow which I intend to ditch the next time around and make it from natural cordage. As soon as I have perfected this I will get a how to made and then the "Under construction" vale on the Skills page will be lifted!
