Overview
Dog Rose is actually part of the rose family but grows into a woody shrub, so I have included it in with the trees. Grows in hedgrows or in shrubby areas in fields.
Bushcraft
Good one to know as easily identifiable and has a food source and emergency firewood.

Gallery and Identification
Flowers - 5 petals - white in the centre and pink towards the outer. Bark/Branches - Bark grows in plates, is dark brown but often covered with green moss/lichen. Branches covered in spikes. Leaves - Ovate. Grow in clusters. Height - Can grow up to 5m Fruit - Rose Hips Distribution - Centrl Europe and the british isles
